ABOUT

Hello! I’m glad you found your way here.

Hello! I’m Pam, and like you, I’m figuring this whole aging thing out as I go.

I’ve spent more than 25 years teaching and leading in the field of gerontology — the study of aging. I’ve taught thousands of students about everything from the science of longevity to the real-life messiness of caregiving, grief, and identity shifts. Alongside the classroom, I’ve lived these lessons myself: raising a family, caring for loved ones, navigating chronic illness, and learning to reinvent when life doesn’t go according to plan.

Unfinished Wisdom was born because I believe we’re never a finished product. We are always becoming — carrying scars, laughter, hard-won wisdom, and fresh questions into every new decade. This site is my way of sharing that journey: stories, reflections, coloring books, journal sparks, and honest conversations about what it means to age with humor, rebellion, and grace.

I’m not here to hand you ten steps to perfect living. I’m here to walk alongside you with a little expertise, a lot of empathy, and the reminder that you’re not alone in feeling both undone and alive at the same time.

Welcome to the plot twist. Welcome to Unfinished Wisdom.
